Okay so you've said yes to the perfect mate, the perfect wedding planner and the perfect venue - Now what?!
Now the fun begins!! Now you get to choose your dream team, the people who will make your big day come together. There's your Dj/Band, photographer, videographer, make-up artist, hair stylist, officiant, florist, caterer, baker, stationary....
Whew! I know it's a lot, but stay calm.
If you are easily overwhelmed I suggest you focus on one vendor at a time. First take a look at their websites, yelp reviews, Instagram account, twitter and Facebook accounts. You can tell a lot about a business just by checking out their social media accounts. If you like what you see & read the next step will be to set up a consultation.
During the initial consultation, which is usually free, is where you will get a chance to get to know the vendor and to see what they have to offer. Also, this is a chance to see if they are a good fit for you and your partner. If the vendor does not have an office meet somewhere you'll be most comfortable such as a coffee shop or even your venue. Avoid meeting with more than three vendors in each category, you should definitely narrow down the top three candidates before you set up any consultations.
Once you've met with the vendor take your time and decide who you liked best and who was the best fit with your budget. If the vendor that you got along with best is slightly out of your budget don't worry she might be willing to come down on her pricing just to be able to work with you, all you have to do is ask.
Your chosen vendor will then send you a proposal that will have all of the things you guy's spoke about during your consultation and /or via email. You and your partner should look it over very carefully, this is when you will make any corrections, and add or remove any services. Once the proposal is approved by all parties she will send the official contract for you to view and you may have the option to sign it electronically or set up another meeting to sign your contract and give your deposit if a deposit is required.
This part of wedding planning can be overwhelming but just make sure to take it one category at a time and one vendor at a time!
We really hope this helps! And as always Happy Planning!!
